Species plants are native to tropical areas from Polynesia and Hawaii west to Southeast Asia, Australia, and Madagascar. They are often found growing on tropical rainforest trees as epiphytes which collect water and organic matter in their bowl-shaped rosettes. Most ferns make great house plants and these are much easier to grow than most. They require bright indirect light indoors and a temperature of 60-70 degrees. Prefers sitting atop a wet pebble tray to keep the soil moist and humid environment. General purpose fertilizer can be used at 1/4 strength about every 3 months. Plants will be shipped potted in 4 inch pots.
