Very nice color and veining with full afternoon sun.
Sarracenia Purpurea commonly known as American pitcher plants are native to the southeastern U.S. and can be grown in partial shade to full sun where the pitchers will turn from a green with red veins to a deep red/purple color. They grow low to the ground and prefer pitchers filled with water so they can catch and digest insects. They do produce digestive enzymes that releases the nutrients within the insects that are then absorbed by the plant.
